I'm willing to compete in this, if someone else beats me to a spot I'll congratulate them and wish them the best of luck.

The opposite of what Maryanne said except for the first 6 words.

I'd be interested in this, and I'd be available for trials once we're back to college, maybe the weekend of the 26th would be best but whatever suits.

I'd be interested but am not available for any form of try out - so you are probably better off using someone else.

Interested.

Curragower is still working. You should get some practice. I am back in Dublin. But try Eoin Keyes for a lift.

After the weekend I'm convinced (Maryanne was too) that a trial will definitely have to happen on Gower.

There's loads of water in the system at them moment ( probably a little too much) so it should be working right up to and including the competition date.

If I were to pencil in Sunday the 27th, is there anyone that wouldn't suit?
Gower should be working from about 11.30

Sunday the 27th suits me.

Note:
Having a trial will mean far more than the 4 who'll represent us on the 10th will get to go out and experience the feature and be a part of the event, so that's great!

Also there is a definite knack for getting on the wave and it makes far more sense to work that out before the competition since that'd leave more time and effort available for actually getting out some tricks on the day.

As Niall said, the wave was at a more flushy (ie hard to get on or stay on) level at the weekend so while we'll hope it'll calm down a bit for varsities it is worth bearing in mind that this feature requires some know-how.

The 27th would suit me too. If anything, it would just be nice to try out a new river.

Woah, I wouldn't rule yourself out like that at all!
As a Limerick native, are you able to get on the wave?

Nah bru, go for it.

Even if you haven't been there in years you've still got much more experience there than probably all of us except peter.

Actually, it'd be worth going to I-Canoe or Great Outdoors to demo one!
Gower has no rocks or places to damage a boat, so it'd be a low risk demo.
If you picked it up the day before you wouldn't even have to detour on the way down.

A car, maybe two cars can stay in mine on Saturday night. It'll be cool. Would need more notice than just a decision on Saturday though.
