Dunno if anyones heard about this but Canoeing Ireland and CANI are organising a an adult Paddlefest event similar to the junior paddlefest whch has been running for the last 5 years. Workshops on different aspects of paddling, talks, music sounds really good check it out.

The workshops sound amazing, there are some about being on a committee and there's a rescue session aimed at college students...very nice :)

Has there been one before? like what's the layout? (other than doing 4 workshops obvs :))
It's the first one that's been aimed at people from all ages, they said if it's a success they'll try to do one annually.
I think it's two workshops on Saturday, two on Sunday, dinner Saturday evening, a talk Saturday evening, a party Saturday night and there's camping nearby.
It's €40 for a student, and for that you get all four workshops, a meal, a t-shirt and free in to the party.
Apparently there's camping nearby that's not too expensive.
You can see a list of all the instructors and coaches who are going to be there on the website, there are more to come, but the line up looks class!

Looking at the Canoeing Ireland site it looks like it will be €50 for a student (€40 for a junior). It looks like a great weekend still.

You could think of it as €10 per workshop, €4 for dinner, €4 for t-shirt and €2 for party :)
Considering how great the instructors are, how much kayaking you'll get and the banter that'll be had, it's still an amazing steal! :D
