So this little thing called Paddlefest is coming along: http://www.canoe.ie/en-gb/trainingcourses/paddlefestkilkenny2013.aspx
There was talk by Dave and a few others of heading down, (http://forum.ucdcanoeclub.com/index.php/topic,11315.0.html).
We were wondernig if enough people would be interested that we could make it a Club Trip down to Kilkenny for the weekend that's in it. It promises to be an absolutely amazing weekend with so many different workshops to choose from, ( there's about 35 to choose from !). With a night out thrown in there, a couple of seminars, a t-shirt, a meal and a chance to be coached by the Country's best intructors ! All of this for the great price of 50 Euro for Students - seriously this is such good value its not even believeable !!!!!
You will also get the chance to meet with Kayakers from all over the Country - who are generally just amazing and such good craic ! You could also meet people from Varsities with whom most of us all got well aquanted with !
People would be required to register themselves but depending on which would work out better value we could have a bus or drivers down ?
So I'm going to add a poll to this thread and vote yes if you're interested in heading down !

It is yeah - but the Club's Membership is up in October, so it could be 30 Euro now for a full year or 20 now and 20 again in Oct.

- four workshops
- evening talks
- Saturday night dinner

I'm doing white water slalom, wildwater racing (I will get down a rapid upright in one of these) and then open white water canoe (learn to paddle one of these properly) and raft guiding just cause
