Title: FRESHERS WEEKEND :-D Tramore 11-12th October 2014

Can I get a WOOP WOOP? ;-)

So we're off to glorious Tramore THIS FRIDAY !!!

Make sure to get your €50 into ANY committee member ASAP to secure your place :-) Either at lunch tomorrow from 1pm, at any pool session, or otherwise give one of us a text! Our numbers are here; http://ucdcanoeclub.com/committee.html (http://ucdcanoeclub.com/committee.html)
Boat-packing is on FRIDAY 11am -2pm - when everyone has to claim gear for the weekend and help load the trailer. Woop !! You must either pack a boat or text Andy/Ross if you cant make the pack. Otherwise you'll be boat-less & swimming for a weekend  ???

Now onto the best part!! Partying starts from the get-go....that means we're meeting in UCD Student Bar at 6pm (behind the trophy cabinets on the left). And then we're catching the bus at 6.45pm. We should be home in UCD on Sunday evening.

What to Bring:

•   Money for any snacks, chocolate, alcohol, or last minute costume props you may need ;-)

•   For kayaking: Warm clothes!!!! (avoid cotton at all costs! It makes you very, very cold when you’re wet). Anything made out of 'poly-' materials is a good bet!  Fleeces are great! Fleecy pyjamas are even better! Tights make a good layer, especially to pop over your fleecy layers before trying to put on a wetsuit (even the lads should consider investing!!) If you have a wetsuit bring it! If not, the club has a small selection of them...try to get to the boathouse on time to get first pick!

You can never, ever have enough layers!!! Remember to bring enough gear for TWO days' paddling.

•   A pair of old shoes! (Or wet booties if you have them). The water is going to be low (on the beach), and those stones really aren't the most fun!! If you don't have a pair, pop into your local Penneys or Tesco and pick up a pair of cheap shoes!

•   Towel(s) and warm, dry clothes for both days!

I'll probably arrive in Tramore on Saturday morning or earlier if I find a way to travel from Cork on Friday night...
Anyway, can I sign up for Saturday and Sunday (but not Friday)? And can I travel back to Dublin with you?

Marie, answer the following questions honestly
1: Have you actually graduated ie had the ceremony yet?
2: Can you compete in varsities this year ie year of grace?
3: Do you have a full time job?

If you answer yes to any of those we will have to reconsider you're application to the ancient and benevolent society of elders of UCDCC
