Roll up, Roll up!!!
It’s that time of year for us to set off on our annual Colours trip to with our fellow paddlers over in Trinity. You heard me correctly the Trinners, but it’s all good, they’re cool or so I’ve been told.
When: 20th -22nd November
Where: Lahinch, Co. Clare
How much you ask? Just €50, all of which includes bus, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and gear !!!
What: So like Freshers we’ll be heading to Clare on the Friday evening from UCD. On Saturday we’ll be heading to the local beach for some surf kayaking. On Saturday evening we’ll be having a massive fancy dress party with theme this year being………….. (drum roll please)………….. When I was five I wanted to be……………… On the way home on Sunday we'll be hitting the Castleconnell river to sober everybody up.
Get the imagination going cause however ridiculous we must beat Trinity
The Plan
The bus will be leaving UCD at 6:30pm Friday
It will be leaving from the bus stop at the 'sports cafe' end of the student centre (by the sports centre carpark, where we got the bus to Bundoran) If you think you are going to be late, please ring a committee member. If you’re early even better, we’ll be meeting for a socials beforehand in the UCD bar.
What to bring:
Clothes!!! (obviously, but you never know....)
Paddling gear!!! (that's thermals, thermals and more thermals!!!)
Fancy dress costume!!!! (This years theme is 'When I was five I wanted to be…..”)
Sleeping bag (if you have one)
Drinking vessel!!! (this is compulsory...even if your not drinking alcohol!!! We mean anything that doesn't usually count as an item for drinking from!)
Alcohol for the bus!!! (please avoid cans if you have small bladder syndrome )
Spending money!!!
(this will be for the nightclub on Saturday, alcohol, any snacks that you may want along the way)
Dinner will be provided on Saturday night and Breakfast in the mornings!
Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements before we go, so we don't kill you, that would be much obliged
The trailer pack will take place on the Friday at the Boathouse from 12-3pm. If you can't make it to the boatpack than give Evan a text (086 8820950) otherwise you will be boatless and gearless for the whole weekend. Primarily you will be swimming!!!
Please note that your place is not guaranteed until you have paid a committee member
