The prices have been finalised and this year you are gonna get a fabulous weekend away in the Far Far West for €60. To get your hands on a t-shirt and access to nightclub for the weekends social activities is coming in at €25. We will be collecting the €60 and €25 together.
This year, in order to participate, we need to submit everyone's names and student numbers if they are competing or even just staying in the accommodation.
The deadline for sign up for Varsities this year is the 21st of January!! But, we need to get peoples names in ASAP in order to confirm a place in the accommodation, which is tight!
I would appreciate it if everyone who intends to come could please state their names and student numbers below ASAP as we want to ensure that we have somewhere to stay for the weekend :)
The Fancy Dress theme of this years Varsities has been revealed, drum roll please................ SUPERHEROES Whip out the capes, goggles and utility belts and start the thinking afro.gif
There will be a more informative post going up later on with details on events and the teams when the trials are finished. For now, this is just a sign up post .... so SIGN UP GUYS!!!
Oh also.. could ye please state what size T-Shits ye would like :D
IMPORTANT: There will be a limit of 30 people allowed to come to varsities this year based on accommodation availability. The priority will be given to people who are competing and then if there is still space for those who arent competing, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Also sign up for varsities closes on the 18th of January so that we can get the money in on time.
**Accommodation Update**
This year for varsities, the accommodation is very scarce and very expensive. Our only option was to take a conference room with 25 mattresses on the floor, 6 people on ground mats and then 6 people in the hostel. There are all the facilities we need there. Toilets, showers, heating etc... and realistically all we will be doing is sleeping there, so as long as there is a mattress... :/
Unfortunately, there was no other option. We had to take it. People were being turned away by the accommodation. We know it is not ideal, but there really is no other option.
Just said we would let ye know what the story is in advance.

Yeah it seems to be that the accommodation will be given student numbers and will ask for student cards to make sure only paid people are staying... If any year of grace people don't have their card let us know so we can let them know you're alumni :)Yeah...my student card is long gone and I'm a year of grace so you'll definitely need to tell them about me!
