Hey guys :wave: the next big unmisable calendar event of the year is coming up- none other than the 2006 Intervarsities :wav: , where 15 colleges compete across 4 categories with kayakers performing death defying stunts :naka: ....oh and there's some paddling too.
The dates which should be freed from work now are : Friday 10th - Sunday 12th February.
This year is being hosted by Trinity and will take place in Wicklow. Hostel places are available at the Glendalough,Tiglin and Knockree Hostels. It will be â,¬12 per night for the hostel to give you an idea of prices but we will come back with an overall price for the weekend including a bus; and is on a first come first served basis so please post up if you intend to come along.
The schedule for the weekend is as follows:
Friday 10th Feb - Polo Competition at St. Joseph's Pool,Cabra followed by entertainment in Lynhams from 8.30pm. NOTE: To compete you must be an ICU member for insurance purposes.
Saturday 11th Feb - White water race at Annamoe registration at 8.30am. Long-Distance event at Lough Dan, registration at 12.30pm Entertainment in Lynhams that night also.
Sunday 12th Feb - Freestyle Competition at Sluice, registration at 9.30am, followed at 3pm by the prize giving ceremony
To be eligable for any of the above events you must either be a student or a postgraduate in the college you are competing for :downtown: or be within the year of grace having graduated from the college.
You can sign up to the events on the form which is currently adorning the noticeboard in the Arts Block. We want you - to join! :salute:

I heard talk of ball tickets, but the only thing said about Intervarsities was if you have money, give it. I never heard anyone say that was the last day.
These ball tickets. would they be available every day at lunch, gregs talk and if you pay before the 18th you get entered into a free draw. The tickets are 50 euro for the event and 10 to go to the imc.
