Post up if you want to compete in the whiewater comp
teams to be decided
-
id like to try it :D
-
I want it, I'm not dropping out so I can compete at intervarsities so I want it
-
I'd like to, as long as it doesn't clash with the freestyle
-
Pick Me!
-
whats the likelihood of freshers (aka me) swimming and bing humiliated for all time? in (in other words: is it hard?) forgive me my naivity
-
At the moment it appears to be a straight forward relay, that each section would be paddled by someone of that ability ie grade 1-3 in water difficulty. However that may all change at captains and secretaries. I suggest pushing for an out and out whitewater race it would suite us better.
-
I always put my name down for this ana am never picked :'( . but i should have a nomad/mamba this year. so please pick me i'm training every day, since i've nothing better to be doing!
-
Id b up for doin it if u letting people take part who are complete novices...... Jst remember tough tat its the taking part tat counts rite???, even if I terrible.
-
pick me!! im better looking the mark.
-
no way man....im on the hung-over team that day!!!
however i might be up that direction in next week or two
just had a crazy kite-club mid-weekend trip there
it is letterkenny isn't it??
-
cool ill do the grade one or 2 bit if needed?! :)
-
I'd like a go at it too.
-
Id like to have a go at it.DO you need to paddle a wild water kayak or a gp kayak?
PATRICK
-
pick me.
-
you can use what ever kind of boat you want, as far as i know.
-
I think there are limits on the speed of the kayak which would rule out a white-water racer. Can the committee find this out at the Captain/Secretaries for me? I have a wavehopper which the club is welcome to use and I could bring my racer. Has the club found its Gola yet for the flatwater?
-
im looking into getting them back. they were borrowed for the liffey descent and i havent seen them since, i havent looked for them because we didnt need them till now. any who knows where they are give us a shout on 0861988050

The white water race is from grade 1 to 3 so to compete you have to be at the higher end of the grades i.e grade 3 standard cos ya have to do it all.
-
Kieran, would it not be better for more people to be involved than just the elite of the club?
-
not being mean but were planning on winning something or at least try to this year, so as all the other clubs do, the best paddlers availible will be competeing for the college
-
just so people dont feel too lefy out there will be an oppertuinity for those less adept at handeling themselves white water. it is called the flat water race. and there will be a cind of who wever wants to can take part attitude to this area as there are loads of places open to us in this section.
we are one of the biggest canoe clubs in the country and i for one think that it is about time we win what is the only really competative event of our calendar
-
Pick Me - Can be compeditive when I want.
-
il give it a bash if u dnt object to my liability status ;D, but a winning smile at the end compensate for mess ups...right?
-
apparently there has been some changes made to this section so we need seperate people to run the level 2, level 3 and level4 sections
so level2 is like the flat sections between the rapids on aannamoe
level3 like guiness's and trooperstown
level4 flesk boatercrossish and harderLoading...
