Title: Midweek Entertainment

Hello Freshers,

Just to make sure you all know that the Canoe Cult, ahem, I mean Club, meets up almost every day in college, so you need never be lonely again.

Monday Lunch at the yellow sculpture in the Arts Block, the John Henry Newman Building. Cliodhna brings biscuits. YaaY!

Tuesday Lunch at the yellow sculpture in the Arts Block. Cliodhna doesn't brign biscuits. Booooo! Someone needs to give that girl a smack.

The Wednesday Drinking Committee  have their weekly general meeting in the Student Club, i.e. the bar beside the Commerce Bloc, the Quinn School. All are welcome to come and contribute. Sometimes they have so much business to discuss they start after lunch sometimes they wait til around five.

Thursday Pool Session is proceeded by pints in O'Neills as you should all know by now. Trhen we go to Doyles for Dancing.

Friday Lunch as the yellow sculpture in Arts if there is significant gossip to spread after a whopper session in Doyles.

Saturday HausParty. You must attend river trip for details re: theme and location.

Sunday Fry-up. Sneak down to the kitchen in your gaf and steal sausages from your housemates. It's the only way.


So, you guys got that clear, about where you're supposed to go on the different days? Lateness will not be tolerated, button up your shirt, introduce yourself and wash your hands before you enter the room. And smile, you're supposed to know what you're doing.

It's Tuesday Drinking Crew. Tequilla Tuesdays. Weren't you told?

I'm sure we can fit in Wednesdays too though.

aaahhh tuesday to thursday drinking shenanigans, it really was most of my week!

PS Dee's bed is always comfortable... ;-)

Yeah, but the Drinks Committee meets on Wednesdays to conduct, I mean, discuss important business.

nice. the pool is preceded by pints now? I thought it was just afterwards. maybe I'll start going. when/where?


and yeah, it's definitely Tuesday drinking. because it's as far as possible from a traditionally legitimate drinking day (Friday/Saturday).

Let me tell you a tale:
this all began many moons ago when it was all about the wednesday drinking but then a motley crew of elite drinkers came up with the concept of taquila tuesdays then!!! as drink prices started to rise and students stayed poor slowly the taquila part faded away, soon a fresh young possy of hardcordians arrived and were trained by the best so that they could carry on this trend of tuesday twistedness!!

so freshers it is time you join us to keep on this tuesday tradition!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that before wednesday drinking, was monday sessions.

Also, the day of alcohol is choosen purely on the timetables of the remaining hard-coreions!

I remember wednesday drinks comittee, it was Caoimhe, Claire, Lolly etc, they all left and got real jobs.... :(
