If you would like to play polo in Varsities this year please put down your name. We need boys and girls!
We're hoping to bring a ball out this Saturday so people can see how to play, and check if they are any good!
-
So what your saying is if someone can pass a ball on moving water we will know if they can play polo? Put me down, it's not like it is real paddling.
-
the return of the DISCO PADDLERS.... put me down!!

Does anybody know what the course is like and how long it is? Is it possible to sign up for this event and the long distance?
Patrick

I have a helmet with a faceguard...and also my name on the back. So who wants to be Úna for the day?
PM me if you need it.
-
someone can have my gear but i'll need it back before 29th march. i have a black/red bouyancy no 4 and a helmet and blades
-
Okay I can drive down and will bring three other people. Cli are you driving? Ritchie is out of action. A full team is 8, generally 6 guys 2 girls. There are four on the water one of which is a girl. There are two subs in a pen at the end. Personal gear, swim suit, deck and a rash vest or some kind of sleeved top. The reason for this is people used to put vasiline on their shoulders so when someone went to push them over they got vasiline on their hands thus preventing them from picking up the ball. THere should be gear available for borrowing usualy two sets.
I will be heading off afterwards to lahinch and wish you guys the best of luck in the rest of the compitition, which is to get ridiculously drunk and try to score all the other colleges.
-
What time does it start at, i'm a bit reluctant to leave work early, but i might be convinced!!
(would be driving!!!)
-
Five that's new, big pool?
-
They've an olympic standard size pool out in UL but I don't know if that's the one we're using.
Apparently I am now also doing this. I am free all day friday so can go whenever.
-

Okay since I am driving down I can take three maybe four at a push, I will leave at 12 this gives me plenty of time to get to limerick and get lunch in before the match. I have no idea how good GMIT are but since we finished 4th last year we might have a chance of a second match. Who else can drive?
-
I will leave at 12 this gives me plenty of time to get to limerick
So why are we leaving at 5 on Thursday? Anyhow I will be there to cheer you on again this year.
-
I will be leaving at 12 from the boathouse, I would prefer if people coming in the car only brought what they need for polo as I will not be staying in limerick but leaving after the polo to go to lahinch. As such I won't be brining club gear bar paddles with me. So If anyone is travelling down early on friday and wants to help out the lads could you give a lift to the polo team?
