Post by: Sick Boy on October 14, 2008, 12:35:23: right so guys and girls, now that you are all pro river runners we are going to head back to the liffey and have a propper stab at it. we will get on at sluice (it is not as nasty as it sounds) and make our way down through lucan, annaliffey and on to wrens nest. this is a great section of river and should be loads of fun.

so sign up here if you want ot come and we will hook you up with all the busses,kayaks and kit you need. see you then.

about gear and stuff. My advice is to have warm clothes for the end of the river, some food and a drink. Before you get on the water make sure you have had a good breakfast and if you have any cuts or grazes open get them covered. Dunnes to termals for around 12-15 euro, pennys do something for around 9-12 euro. Aldi are doing running stuff on thursday some of which can be used as termals.DON'T FORGET TO BRING A TOWEL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQmKemHWRv0)

Just to say again, bring warm clothes to the river, track down termals or old fleeces and failing that a pair of tights can be turned into termals easily. If any rescue have a flask bring it along as it will be a cold one tomorrow.
