Title: Christmas Eve Paddle
Post by: JODY on December 18, 2008, 15:09:01
Right,
there seem to be some enthusaistic people looking to paddle over the next week but don't forget it's tradition to hit the Annamoe on Christmas Eve come hell or (usually not very) high water.  8)

Who's coming?  ???

Not sure if i can offer lifts as i've already promised to hold them for someone, but i can supply a boat & maybe some gear for someone who needs it as you wont be able to get club gear out  :)

We celebrate Christams dinner and presents and things on Christmas Eve so I can't come.

I'm all in favour of Christmasing now, in fact, we should be getting a tree tomorrow!  ;D

oh yeah baby, like Sara says, I'll be there with bells on (possibly literally???)

I'm not flying with stinky Ryanair this time so I'll bring over my own gear to wear, but will be looking to borrow a boat and paddles! Big ask, sorry.

(p.s. it's an oldies B-day that day too... oh, wait are you still an oldie if you go back to college in later life?)

yeah... I'm so excited

We should organise a time for this? Is 11 @ Annamoe Bridge too early (or late) for people? Better early than late since i always seem to leave my xmas shopping till after my xmas eve paddle  ::)

 ;D ;D ;D

Welcome to Northern Europe baby

but that's woefully inefficient! that's not the Northern European way! That's like something a Southern European santa would do!

hey, if you were born in Asia to American parents but grew up in Australia, what are you when you're in the bathroom?
European! (ba dum...) (I couldn't decide which would be less funny, to spell it European or you're a-peein')

Stupid work is keeping me in until 1130 tomorrow morning.  Grr!  First Christmas Eve paddle I've missed in 2 years.  Have fun though.  Might meet you in Lynhams for a soup after.
