Didn't there use to be an info section about Weils disease on the canoe club website?
I got quite sick and wanted to look up some info on it before I went to the doctor because I had been Kayaking on the Liffey a day or two before. I remembered vaguely having seen an info section on the website about it when I first joined the club, but couldn't find it... (The doctor checked me just in case and I had none of the symptoms, I'm sick with something else btw)
But this just made me realise that it should be brought back, or if it is still there made easier to find. Especially for freshers next year, I remember reading through it out of interest the first time I went on the website, so I'm sure other people do, which probably contributes to beginners becoming aware of the risks and practising safer kayaing...

Heads up for anyone who's been on the Liffey, one of the lads i was out paddling with last week was told he picked up Leptospirosis at Sluice.... he was sick the day after paddling so its unusually quick but it might appear later in others exposed to it.

yup it was and it should be. Over the summer I'll be getting a lot of that info up.

I had a bit of a bug after the rescue day at Sluice last week, nothing too serious just cramps and a loss of appetite for a few days.
