So for the freshest freshers or anyone else that is interested I shall be running an RSR1
New Lingo? River Safety Rescue numero uno!

What is it?
A half day certified course €15 designed for people who want to gain training in Safety and Rescue Techniques appropriate for the river. The RSR 1 aims to develop your safety skills, while also making you aware and proactive in accident prevention when taking part in our beautiful badass sport!  8)

Sounds awesome! When is it?
Saturday the 7th April
Shed for 10.00am

Where?
The Lovely Liffey! Drivers speak up!  ;)

So what do I need?
Level 2 skills award.
Wetsuit or Drysuit (if ya are indeed a drysuit wa*ker)
Thermals
ISO Approved buoyancy and helmet
Adequate hard sole footwear (don't want any twisted ankles on my watch  :P)
Throw Bag
Knife (river knife now not an auld stheak one ye have in your kitchen)
Whistle (for the raves)
If you don't have any of the above, source them and think about putting them on your wish list for next kayaking purchases.
There is nothing more attractive than a kayaker kitted out for safety!

Oooooooookay! So I shall have to reschedule this for another river trip more than likely the weekend after Galwayfest. Being Sat the 7th of April! Save the date lads! Hope more people sign up but if not we shall have a lovely SAFE trip on the river Cathal <3
