Scotland 04+ 5/4
« on: February 21, 2007, 20:26:24 »
So it the usual tradition of confusing everyone about where a trip is actually going, this post is in fact about wales at Paddy's weekend.

Not much else to say really except me and Eoinor are getting the ferry (with Irish Ferries)
Leaving : Friday 16th at 20.55
Return : Monday 19th 17.15

The plan is to go paddling at the the artifical course in Tywernn or maybe bike or climb depending on what the weather does. If your interested  book your ferry and give us a call  ;D

I do want to go but it's very costly, even if i have 3 people in my car it'll still be 120euro each just for the ferry. Will let ya know nearer the time weather depending etc!!

not sure about the camp site, hopefully it is, also keep an eye on http://www.ukrafting.co.uk/rivercoaching/releases.htm for the amount of days there will be releases on. Maybe killian would know of any other good rivers in the area? Its definately worth the trip we had a class time last year.

In a dramatic U turn, this trip is now in fact actually going to Scotland. Probably going to go to Whales at
Easter instead.

Of those three answers the last one was probably the most informative.

What are the new dates?  What are the new times?  But why?

What time will I need to be at the ferry/airport? Do I need vaccinations? If I go in someone else's can someone take my boat and my booties? I don't have a tent so can I double up with you? where are we going? Do I need warm clothes and sun glasses?

don't worry about all of that. just turn up at the boathouse at any point during easter and Jim Kennedy will take care of all of it for you.

isn't that what he's for?

It was very very very cold!!!!
We had lots of snow, paddled 3 days, went sking/snowbording one day. Ran the Roy at a nice high level, Ran the Speen Gorge at a huge level (Some of the drops were missing) and the Etive at a low level. Some people swam, some did'nt(but I'm not telling you who). And all the time Clare and Sean had nice warm heads thanks to hats made by Amanda.

Arived home at 2am and just found out I didnt need to come into college this morning. I would be bitter but I'm still buzzing from runing the Etive again.

Should really have told Claire she didn’t have to wear that in public.

Anyway, I want to see pictures. How did I know ye didn’t just spend the weekend in the boathouse making up stories?
