Hey guys I'm doing rescue at the descent this year at leixlip bridge (If i don't have to work that day).
I need at least two more people to do it with me, and if people aren't comfortable providing rescue in boats it would be extremely handy having someone on the bank hauling in boats/roping swimmers.
You'd be meeting around 11.00 am on the day, getting on the water around 12, then providing rescue till around 4.00 pm and finishing off with a quick sweep from leixlip bridge down which'll take around 45 mins.
Leixlip bridge is about a 5 minute paddle up from sluice for any1 hasn't done the descent b4.
In return for doing rescue, u get a free meal at the race finish point, a free ticket to the liffey descent after party a free t-shirt and a gods voucher(I think).
Doing rescue is good craic and a great way to help out with the descent if u don't fancy running it.
