"Boyne Bash" this weekend...
« on: April 16, 2012, 19:14:04 »
...looks like it might not be going ahead.

This is a fun competition/development day organised by the Irish freestyle committee aimed at getting paddlers of different levels together to learn from each other and have a bit of craic. Open to all, but realistically you should have a roll that works at least most of the time.

As I said, it might not be happening, but I'll try and find out as best I can and let everyone know.

If it is going ahead, who's interested?

Edit: Especially if you can drive.

Biblical floods forecasted tomorrow, with rain for the rest of the week. Don't rule it out yet.

I would love to...but my participation is subject to academic work being suitably up to date, so I'm afraid I'd have to wait to closer to the day to confirm. (sigh)

PS: can't wait for subsequent freestyle/play boaty days beyond the reach of exam preparations...especially when I'm in my rockstar!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D (EXCITEMENT!)

Having had far too much fun in the play boat on Saturday - I would be interested in this, though I'm in the same boat as Maryanne, (hehehe pun intended ), depending on how much work I can get done this week.

Marvellous work! I'd say there's a plus one box on the order form I could tick to upgrade from to ...

I'd say it's most likely a static at Stackallen (Statickallen? 8) ) Niall B can probably confirm that though.

It's scheduled for sunday, but...

After further enquiry about weather or not it's happening, the answer seems to be "probably not".

No firm decision has been made yet though.

Sorry about the uncertainty...now go study!

Boom, that looks quite confirmed doesn't it?

Oh well, hopefully they'll run it later in the year instead.
