In accordance to guidance from UCD Sports, the requirements for Senior Treasurer must be changed in the constitution.
Further changes to the constitution are proposed to provided clarity and structure towards amendments at General Meetings.
This has resulted in the following proposed constitutional amendments:
Proposed Amendment 1
Section 5.11 Committee Structure - Senior Treasurer
Current Text:
• They must be a graduate of the college.
Proposed New Text:
• They must be a University College Dublin graduate of two years.
Proposed Amendment 2
Section 6.3 Meetings - General Meetings
Current Text:
• At least ten days notice shall be given of a General Meeting, by posting a clear notice on the official club notice board. The agenda of the meeting must also be included with the notice.
Proposed New Text:
• At least ten days’ notice shall be given of a General Meeting, by posting a clear notice on the official club forum. The agenda of the meeting must also be included with the notice.

• Amendments to the constitution can only be made at such meetings, and provided that two thirds of members present and voting are in favor.
Proposed New Text:
• Amendments to the constitution may only be proposed in a notice at least ten days prior to a General Meeting, by posting such amendments on the official club forum. For an amendment to pass, two thirds of the members present must vote in favour.
The purpose of these changes is to follow UCD Sport's guidelines while also providing more structured rules towards General Meetings. The aim is to prevent possible loopholes from being exploited and discord from occurring.
