New Website

This is the new website. As it stands there is a bit more graphic work to be done as well as a lot of content to be added. I also still need to add a few simple things (like the gallery)

I would appreciate if anyone could write some content for the site,

Looking for:

Gear Guide for Freshers
History of the Club
Links to kayaking sites for a links section (discarding the old one as most of the links are dead).


Also - are there any features that you would like to see added?  Do you have any suggestions for content that would be nice to have for the site?

It would be pretty cool if we could have links to the liffey release site and to the flesk and glenmacnass gauges when there up and running properly.

Nicely done, and overnight as well. Fair play to you and don't forget that the Clare Glens is getting a guage soon enough.

As far as i know on the 30th Anniversary site there was some history of the club. THere was lists of ex-captains and the likes, can't fully remember!

If you want I'll type out the Gear guide that was on the leaflet? (Let me know if you want me to)

You might want to consider reducing the number of different forum types. Have general, annoucements. Off topic is what the old general was all about there is some paddling in there but it is just one long meandering rant. Also what you should wear look up Brendinos post on the topic http://www.ucdcanoeclub.com/index.php?topic=2006.0. Anyway it looks good mark, WELL DONE!!

I disagree, Kieran. the old General board was a mix of private trips, parties, random crap, links, etc. At the very least, actual announcements about private trips and parties should be separate from the ridiculously off-topic stuff.

there does seem to be some kind of a problem with the PMs though: I cleared out my inbox and outbox completely, but it still says I have 58 new messages.

also, Mark: the banners at the top of the screen don't always show up right. Is the white space above the big paddles meant to be white or sky blue? the "UCD Canoe Club" text on the right hand side of the lower bar gets cut off on the computers in college. etc...

but I do love the new text features. sup, dude?

oh, and everybody go check your signatures... the first letter got cut off.

aw diarmaid your avatar got cut off... u need to centralize better ;) hehehe

oh and the clock r messed up... just type 16 into the settings bit and theyre the right time think a day late though , i tried doing it negative and it didnt stick? ah well....

YAY!!
