Slovenia Courses
« on: February 11, 2009, 10:31:17 »
Hey,
Got an email from Kim Seikerman today. She's running courses in Slovenia this summer. She's offering both a Level 4 course & a girls only trip.

http://docs.google.com/gview?a=v&attid=0.1&thid=11f64bbeab6eca7d&mt=application%2Fpdf

Since its looking like there's no Alps club trip planned for this year, this might be a good way to get some paddling in the sunshine in this summer  :) These courses are really great, 6 full days of instruction in very small groups  :)

Come on Jody, it was never a club trip, just a ramshackle collection of paddlers loosely affiliated with some university club :P At least that what we had to tell the insurance people!

Why don't you see if there's any interest and assemble such a ramschakle crowd? The Alps Gospel and everything is still online, so the hard work is done: http://www.geocities.com/ucdcc_alps_trip/

Ok, maybe it wasnt a club trip but we brought club gear... & there were 40 something of us in 2005...

Anyway, i'm deffinitely up for going away somewhere this summer as are other people, however there doesnt seem to be much interest from anyone who is willing to lead trips.

I'd love to head back to France or anywhere, especially for longer than a week or 2. In fact i'd head over with a couple of people of a similar standard as me & just bum around paddling whatever (beats sitting at a desk all day) but i'd probably be going for a couple of months if i did that.

Yea I'll be around in July/August for some boatin' but may head further if nothing is happening in Europe. Reckon there's more than 3 people who'd be interested!
