A great way to really develop your edge control, trunk rotation, balance, posture and rolling; dabbling in freestyle is a lot of fun and great for continuing to improve your paddling skills on an ongoing basis since a lot of good practice can be done on club trips.
There are so many people in the club who've dabbled in freestyle, between the lot of us we must make up at least one expert! Lets all post up anything we know and essentially co-write an introduction to freestyle.
There are instructional videos all over youtube about how to do various moves, I'm sure most of us have found some good ones worth sharing.
Make a note of what there is to learn, use it to spice up a club trip or as inspiration for some pool exercises!
You could even find a few friends interested in trying it too, that way you can practice together, give each other feedback, pick a few things you'd like to accomplish and try to advance them on each pool session, river trip or on a private trip geared up just for freestyle.
