Craic lads!
I've been in contact with a few people about running an
INTRODUCTION to
SLALOM session for the club.
This will almost definitely be held on a
SUNDAY so if you work weekends you may need to book it off! It'll be held at Wild Water Kayak Club too which is on the Liffey!
The cost should be
no more than €20 (which is pretty cheap) although this is to be confirmed!
It'll be run in groups of 8-10 people so
spaces are limited although if demand is high enough we can run 2 separate sessions! The session will cater for everyone from beginners to more advanced paddlers.
If you could please comment your name and availability below if you are interested we can get cracking on organising it!
For those of you wondering what slalom kayaking is Wikipedia says '
it is a competitive sport where the aim is to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible.' It's really good for improving your boat skills! Oh and it's also an Olympic Sport.
