We'll be having the Emergency General meeting for the election of the new Equipment Officer and deciding on Constiutional Amendents on the Tuesday of Week 1.
It will be held in Meeting Rooms 5-7 in the New Student Centre at 1900.
Please nominate people for the position of Equipment Officer below, this thread will be kept up to date with names of those nominated. Nominees require two people to nominate them to allow them to run for the position, one of which may be themselves.
The Equipment Officer shall be responsible for maintaining all club equipment and ensuring that all club premises be kept in a good state of organisation and cleanliness. The Officer shall also recommend what purchases should be made and keep an inventory of what equipment is available and any losses incurred throughout the year.

Constitutional Amendments are described below, some will come into effect immediately following the EGM while others which affect current roles being carried out by committee members will come into effect at the next AGM. You can find the constitution here:

- Section 3: Membership
Remove "The membership shall run from the date of joining until the end of the second semester of that academic year".
Insert "The membership shall run from the date of joining until the end of September of the following academic year." - Section 4.4: Safety Officer
Insert "The Safety Officer will ensure the availability and visibility of the club Safety Document to all members." - Section 4.9; Senior Treasurer
Insert "He/She must receive Athletic Union Council approval as set out in the Athletic Union Council Clubs Operations Manual." - Section 5.2: Inaugural Meeting
Remove "to which a guest speaker shall be invited"
Insert "for the purpose of introducing new members to the club activities for the year" - Section 5.3: General Meetings
Remove "no later than the ninth teaching week"
Insert "no later than the eleventh teaching week"
To come into effect following the next AGM:
- Section 4.3: Treasurer
Insert "Completed and signed club accounts for the period since the last AGM will be presented by the outgoing Treasurer at the AGM." - Section 4.9; Senior Treasurer
Insert "He/She will assist the Treasurer in completing club accounts for the Annual General Meeting."
