Club Champs Competition Weekend

Hey everyone!

So the club champs is coming up soon, it's on the 12th & 13th of April, so next weekend!

This will be a great weekend for as many people to get involved in as possible! It's aimed at club members, so you will all be well able to compete!

There are conpetitions in many areas such as polo, marathon, wild water racing, boaterX, rafting, freestyle you can enter as many competitions as you want! (As long as they don't clash timetable will be up soon )

We are currently looking into the accomodation but we need numbers for this

This will most likely be a 'car lifts' trip as cars will be needed to get to the different competitions

This is the registration form! Please fill it out when you are sure you are coming! we need to have registration sent to them by Sunday so this will be closed on Saturday Midnight!

Guys, it's not as competitive as Varsities was, there is something for everyone, there will be nothing difficult, in fact, the Boaterx, possibly the most daunting event most for most people will be on Clashganny which is the river ye ran on the Sunday of Freshers Weekend, so there is nothing to worry about!

I am interested, but can't say for sure yet, as I'm going to a big conference 2 weeks later with a talk and a poster to prepare ... Where is it? Maybe I could only go for half of it or so...

I don't think there is a restriction on them being in college, as long as they are in the club they can partake!

Yep, as long as they're in the club they can compete we're the only college club in it so they have no college related rules!

I think the fact they're there should be even more if a reason to go!! Surely being the first ever winners of club champs overrides any and all varsity wins!!!

Me fail English that umpossible, I meant there is no restriction on being in college just in the club, D'oh. I live near enough that I won't be looking for accommodation but I may be drawn into help run things so will see what I can do regarding competing. I will say this if you've never been in a wildwater boat it might be best not enter the wildwater racing. However at the meeting for this it was decided that self rescue should be the requirement. So if you swim, you can sort yourself out by swimming to the bank with boat and paddles. Pretty much what you'll do in assessments this weekend.
