That's right, our fist RIVER TRIP of the year is upon us!
This
SATURDAY we shall be barking to the magical world of Lucan to try our hands at the oh, so infamous Lucan Weir!
We shall meet at UCDCC boathouse at 10am sharp!You can find the boathouse here:

For anyone who isn't a Google Maps buff, there will be a paddle wielding committee member at the sports centre at 9.45am!
We will be hopping on a bus from the Boathouse and should return before 5.What you need:-Yourself
- €10 this covers the bus and instructor
-Warm Thermal layers (anything that isn't made from cotton is amazing! Eg. Skins, ski thermals, fleecy pyjamas tights, onsies, fleecy socks. Penny's currently have fleece lined leggings and leggings in, and skins in the men's section!)
-OLD shoes or booties - these will get wet!! Everyone must have shoes on on the water! (Flip flops do not work, they will fall off and float away on you, penneys 'converse' or 'vans' are cheap and cheerful!
-A towel - you will appreciate it after the trip for getting changed and such
- a wetsuit if you own one, the club has a selection of wetsuits, but bringing your own guarantees a dry one that fits well
-if you tend to get a cold head, a thin fleece hat or a swim cap is a nice add on for under the helmets
-Warm clothes for after (a hat is amazing to cover the wet hair!)
-some snacks for the bus ride home
