Given that we are going to have the whitewater varsities course right on our doorstep (or as close as its ever going to get) I was thinking about doing a day or something where we go over racing in whitewater. I was just going to go over what I've learned anyway and present it in a somewhat teaching format. It's not really going to touch fast flatwater paddling (as that's just fitness etc) but more efficiency and speed on the bumpy stuff.
Ideally we'd touch on boofing, when to actually paddle fast, line choices and paddle position. I'm somewhat gauging interest now because I could somewhat touch and work on on a few points in Lahinch. Later on when there's water we can do a full day on the avonmore or something.
(PS. I made a list of what we'll be aiming to cover... only then that I realised that most of the stuff is aimed around boofing. so its kinda a boofing clinic
so with that in mind...)
So for anyone who wants to improve on their line choice/position on the river, speed for our ww varsities trials or just boofing in general, shtick your name down
