Kerry 2017-2018
« on: November 22, 2017, 17:39:51 »
So, Kerry, it's happening, ya'll should start getting STOKED cause it's gonna be big.

this post is more of an informative one so people can start planning and organising themselves.

for anyone unfamiliar with Kerry and are wondering why there is so much hype surrounding it, the reason is cause its gnar. We go down to Kerry for the days just after Christmas and for New Years and get some serious Paddling and Partying done.

the plan this year is that we are staying in houses in Pairc Callan, Kenmare from the 27th of December to the 2nd of January

so we will not be providing transport to Kerry, it is up to yourselves to get you and your boat there by any means necessary. There will be people driving down from all corners of the country so hitch a ride with one of them.

the price of the trip is TDB.

so if your low-key down for going, sign up here and put the number of days your planning on going for and if people could state if they are driving and where they are driving from that would be sweet.

So for all you freshers:
What to bring
(credit to T)

- Clothes (obviously…) and GOOD WALKING SHOES (There will always be impromptu hikes with Peter O'Sullivan arround)
-LOADS OF THERMALS!!!!!
-Sleeping bag and pillow (You are not guaranteed a bed, so if you appreciate staying warm and cosy at night, a sleeping bag and pillow may be required! if you have a ground mat too…more the merrier!!!)
-Money (We’ll cover the dinner and breakfast but you’ll have to supply your own alcohol and if you want snacks too!  You’ll also have to cover petrol costs for the drivers too!)
-Snacks! (These are handy to bribe people into letting you squish into the already packed bed, bringing you for a breakfast roll when you can’t stay vertical, and many other briberies )

I'll see you there dudes.

Definitely down on the 27th. More than likely home on the 2nd.

Driving from either glasnevin or possibly celbridge. Picking up from the general greater Dublin area

and GOOD WALKING SHOES (There will always be impromptu hikes with Peter O'Sullivan arround)

I prefer to call them short walks rather than hikes  :P

I'll be in Kenmare from the 28th to the 2nd. Let me know if you want the van driven down in a similar plan to last year.
