Freshers Weekend Update

The plan for freshers weekend is as follows:

4pm on friday: meet in the engineering car-park at evening to get the bus to Rathgormack where we shall retire to the local pub in time to scare or entertain some local as the mood takes us.

Saturday: river trip for those who can haul their drunk/hungover asses out of bed. Probably some cleaning for the rest of ya
Later dinner and then some (hopefully!) imaginative fancy dress costumes followed by some definite scaring of the locals when we hit the pub.

Sunday: a short river trip in the morning and then back onto the bus to hear stories from the oldies, then back to UCD and bed for about 3 days in order to recover.

We provide:  bus down and back
accomodation  (complete with mad owner  )
bus etc for river trips on sat and sun
breakfast on sat/sun and slap up meal sat night

Bring: Fancy dress - this is essential as every year some people think we're lying about fancy dress - we're not 8)
Some money for snacks over the weekend and pints in pub
Paddlin kit (be optimistic - you might get out of bed  )
Stacks of booze (tell the off-licence it's for a party if it'll make you feel better about the quantity :D )
Sleeping bag/ground mat cos there's probably not going to be enough beds for everyone(unless you all score to snore   )

All this for the meagre price of €50 - you won't even need a bank loan!
We'll be taking money from people at the pool sessions this week and next week and also at the river trip on saturday.

Could anyone who's comming down put a post up here so we can get an idea of numbers (please let us know if you intend getting the bus down/back) Thanks

Hey Caoimhe,

can you book a place on the bus for me both ways please.
I'd be more than willing to share a bed if the numbers are tight

Oh and Caoimhe forgot the most important thing... this year it has been decided that the weakest bladder decides the toilet stops  :wav:
therefore I will be deciding the toilet stops so they will be plentiful!

Very little of my life is more memorable (and subsequently less memorable) than the bus journey to Clonmel last year. I believe I shall do it again this year. BUS please!
