Level 3 or Level 4 Assessment and Rec 3 Accelerated.

Rec 3 please! this might be a silly question but is it done on the river or is it theory based?

Rec 3 acc and l4 please Mark (085-7637958), Jen the REC courses are first aid general stuff - similar to what you'd do with the St Johns Ambulance Corps or something like that, It's not based on a river. However if Keoghser or someone is running it for a kayaking club they will probably focus it on the likely watersports injuries. It's basic and what you need. If you're looking for something more there is a company called CDS (Clean Dry Socks - I'm actually not pulling the piss here) who provide Wilderness First Aid courses, it's focussed more on you being many hours away from medical assistance and therefore being the primary caregiver. not necessary here in Ireland if you have a mobile phone.
