Hey all,
Next Tuesday there's going to be a
paddling talk for all the girls of the canoe club, where will be discussing the inherent differences between boys and girls in learning to become a good paddler, and how to overcome the particular difficulties faced by girl boaters, to become more spatially aware in your boat and start to understand how you can learn the bio mechanics of new manoeuvres. We'll be meeting at the message board at half past seven and going from there. For latecomers there'll be a notice on the board to let you know where we are. Bring some wine and I'll priovide the cheese and Becca can bring the knitting needles. Ooooh, Let's have FUN! Cost is
one euro which goes towards the Club FundRaising Fund.
After the talk, there's a
FundRaising TableQuiz in the
Forum Bar/Centre Club which promises to rival the antics generated at the annual Legendary Kerry Table Quiz, and will be hosted by Joey 'NorthSoide Burns' Byrne. The prizes are only savage and are well studying for, so crack open a new window and get learning on the aul interweb. I suggest
www.ucdcaneoclub.com as a good place to start. If that fails, a few beers should help, cos there'll be prizes for the most inventive and entertaining answers.
Funds raised will go towards keeping the Club solvent, Mark's new boat, Providing Committee members with 21st birthdays, Finding Meabh Cryan and Becca's new haircut. She's not on the Commitee, but gosh, doesn't she need it? Oh, and the ususla stuff like, qualified instructors for Saturday Trips, buying and maintaining deadly paddling equipment (ba dum tsssh), and providing great value weekend trips around Ireland.
Hope to see as many of you as possible at the events!
