First Aid at Work ( HSE/HSA)
This three or four-day course* is suitable for those requiring full Health and Safety Executive/Authority first aid training for the workplace and covers the appropriate syllabus for first aiders at work. This course trains the first aider to manage an incident until professional medical care arrives. Covering all the topics outlined for level 2, the subjects are explored in more depth, with an emphasis on gaining a good understanding of the fundamental principles. This course also covers the legal aspects of first aid as applied to the workplace.

HSA don't recognise the rec courses unless they are provided by someone who is hsa approved who covers the basic first aid required for your work place. Rec is a course of first aid designed for people involved in the outdoors. It goes through scenarios and first aid. While occupational first aid is what is know as a carpet course. You do it inside and just go through first aid.

Hey Richie,

Are you organising a REC3 course or a Firast Aid at Work course? They're similar but not exactly the same thing.

Also, could somebody put down kjt and lambe? They're asking for it, and it's the kindest thing. Thanks.

Jim.
