Saturdays Trip, The Ball Accomodation.
« on: February 13, 2008, 11:16:23 »
Please make sure and sign up for the Saturday trip thread if you are going because if their aren't enough people signed up I will Cancel the trip.

The club have been unable to find accommodation for after this years ball so now there are 2 remaining options:

Camp if the weather is good or hire a bus to bring us back to dublin  (stopping at belfield and city centre).

If you are interested in getting the bus back please post up here.

Tickets for the ball are still available from Cian or Joxer.

Camping'll be fine - you'll be too drunk to notice the fact that your tent is in a river and your dress/tux is covered in mud  ;)

There is also a number of B&Bs in the area
http://www.bigboatbonanza.com/accomm.htm There is also glendalough hostel which is a half hour walk from lynhams. I have a room in lynhams which can be used by the girlies to get ready in, just leave it clean enough for me to sleep in later. The lads there is a toilet for you guys.

Hi Guys,

You could book independently into Glendalough hostel, don't mention UCD, If everyone booked in there, maybe a bus could be arranged to bring you back

 http://www.glendaloughinternationalhostel.com/

There is also a hostel in Rathdrum http://www.hostels-ireland.com/microsite.php?MailingListID=19

or rent a house

Before i even mentioned UCD Canoe Club Glendalough said that they were full. Myself Cian and Pia have spent a while trying to find somewhere, and we haven't managed.

No Simon, we didn't start looking for ball accommodation in the last few days, we've been looking since the start of term.  All the usual spots have been booked out for freakin yonks.

There are also shedloads of B and B's available that arent that expensive, unfortunately the club cant stay in a B and B for obvious reasons.

If you are looking at the place kerry linked they'll probably take you, just dont mention ath you are students or that you are there for the ball. (Contact is a guy called christy)

I´ll be staying in a hostel in Peru. It´s funkey and they love parties. You just put your beer on the tab. It´s about 1euro a night but you will probably get a discount if you book as a group.   ;)

Camping sounds savage. A bit of hard core can only add to the buzz.
