I was on one of my usual photography forums and just saw a shot taken on the boyne today. I didn't know their were eels on the boyne  Ha!

No but the avonmore has the STI the black rot. It can happen at anytime parts of just start to go black and drop off.

pritty much all irish rivers have eels. they are fairly common.

I going down Aghade rapid once (on the Slaney) when I felt a pain on my knee. I popped my deck and had to pull a leech off and throw it in the water.
