Ok guys we have something special lined up for this Saturday. It's goodbye to Dun Laoghaire for now and on to proper rivers.
This week we will be heading out to the Liffey and running a static at Lucan Weir. This means, for all freshers, that you get your boat, pick your line, shoot the weir and then go back up and do it again! It's great fun and should be a brilliant trip.
And if that's not enough we have something special planned for after: you get off the river, change back to your nice warm clothes and then right there in Lucan we are holding a barbecue! There's a lovely picnic green area there, it should be great!
So the details are as follows: we meet at 10:00am at the UCD boathouse (there's a map on this site), don't be late! We get the gear together and tie the trailer then the bus brings you out to Lucan. The cost of the trip will be €10 and we ask only €5 for food for the barbecue! The bus brings you back to the boathouse after.
So come one and all! It's going to be brilliant!
