Tying the Trailer
« on: February 10, 2010, 09:11:27 »
Right, the trailer needs to be tied on Friday so I need lots of help. I'm thinking maybe 1.30 at the boathouse? We get it done and then people can go to the bar if they want.

There's some heavy stuff going on, including the Canadian ;) so I really do need help. Oh there's also going to be a boathouse clean up next Sunday and you all better be there or for the rest of the kayak season I will not let you take good boats and I mean that!!! Unless you have a good reason to not be there.

Could you please try and make sure the wavehopper gets on? I won't be there unfortunately.

Stop me taking the good boats! I'd like to see you try! I will not be there as I have to do my traditional valentines day ritual of hating myself for being alone. It's what the greeting card companies want me to do. Who am I to argue with large multinational coperations they know best after all.
You mean sunday next week as you will all be in Galway this sunday? Then I shall be washing my hair and as we know that takes a long time. Brushing it out does, have to get a glossy coat.

I don't think we have room. A canadian, a duo and the two fibreglass are on top. I was under the impression that the wave-hopper wasn't going.

Yes, not this Sunday, next!

It would appear to me that if we wish to win any form of medals it would make more sense to bring the good, well outfitted boat that is going to be paddled by someone who has previously won medals in a similar boat than a badly outfitted gp club boat that has not been looked at since Dun Laoghaire.

Just saying.

If Mark is sorting out his own playboat, as I assume he is, then tie one playboat on the A frame, one in the Canadian and one the way the mystic was tied on Saturday. That leaves the entire trailer for LD boats. As long as they are really well tied they should not fall off.

I'm bringing down the boats that people want, I didn't know the wave-hopper was wanted. If it fits it will be brought down.

Right, to try and keep everyone happy and make sure no one has a kiniption, I will drive down to Galway on Friday morning. I will bring 4 boats, I don't care which ones (maybe not the Canadian... or the Duo). And I will bring down 3 other Polo players. That means there's 3 Polo players that will have to get the bus down from town on Friday morning.

Just to make sure it is the pink one and not some other one I don't know about? If you want to take the playboats Matt?

the bus leaves at 5 as far as I know.

Leighton, I'll take maybe 1 playboat and 3 big boats. So you can squeeze 2 playboats on the trailer and there'll be enough space for everything hopefully.
