Dry Bag

Ive got some money to get a dry bag (house got stolen, a bag of mine got stolen among other things, insurance weirdly gave me some money to buy a new bag, reckon il put it towards a dry bag so).

Can anyone reccommend where I can get a god one for an alright price?... I would like it to last a long time, and have enough space for any gear I might one day own  :-\ so maybe 70L kind of size? I have a smaller dry bag I could put anything I might have that needed to stay dry.

In my humble experience 100L is a nice size, not too big not too small, also don't think the palm dry bag's are that great.

Jer got himself and myself 100/120L ?? dry bags on the net for 35yoyo's i think it was. and touch wood their still going strong! they have straps und all!!


More importantly, did you find your house?

The "Bill's Bags" ones from i-canoe seem to be very good (I got one over the summer - working fine so far anyway). They are rucksack ones so easy to carry. They're not the cheapest though.

I wouldn't go for the palm ones, mine had 8 holes after a year and a half, and massive rips developed from picking it up by the handles when it was heavy.

The second hand palm one I got back in second year is still going strong enough. It seems maybe just the new style palms are a bit shit.

I've had a 100L palm one for about 5 years & no problems with it!
So yeah maybe go for an older 2nd hand one if yer going for Palm  :-\

If you try and live in a dry bag you'll suffocate.

Kudos to whoever managed to steal your entire house. One wonders if folk that talented wouldn't be better served in a lawful profession.

I have a Palm one. When I leave it lying about with wet get in it a big pool begins to form under it.

75L is a nice size though.

Also, it might be that I haven't gotten used to it yet, but Rog might be right about the new Burn.
