REC3 please. Need to renew my existing one. Didn't realise I was that old

Am interested in the REC 4, but as far as I know they're only run once every few years and only about 10 people ever do them because it's a week-long course and instructors are flown in from the UK or the US. Is that what all you guys are definately signing up for, or is there some confusion about what the different REC levels are, and what they mean? Remember - kayaking only needs up to REC3. REC4 is for 'medics' accompying expeditions etc etc.

Hey diarmaid i dont think anyone actually gets a level 2 cert, that would require you paying for it & admitting that you care whether you have it or not

I did have the cert, very briefly, then noticed my name was spelled wrong. I gave the cert back to have the name fixed up and haven't seen it since.

Can i do rec 3 if i've never done rec 2 or 1? (or do these even exist!?)
if it's just a first aid course, and doesn't involve paddlin can i put my name down please. what does it cost, any idea when it'll be?

hahah yeah, i got my L2 cert framed up on my wall too... its dated 1998 i was pretty proud of it back then and never bothered taking it down.
