  Yeah I hear ya....where is bex...she's the one who started all this... I wonder if folks are sitting back watching and waiting to see if this really takes off....? At the moment it seems to be just Asho, Diarmuid and me... ...there were at least 10 people interested along the way.......I suppose we should hold out for a while longer and see who pops up....

I would love to go, but i'm going to the states for the break... I highly recommend the Flying Pig Hostel. There are 2, downtown and uptown.  The downtown one is rowdier and in the middle.  The uptown one is more laid back, it is a little out of the city center, right on the edge of Vondelpark. Both are a good time.

on another note a few of us are going to Amsterdam for 2 nights over spring break

Here's where I'm at: I have to have my project finished by March 7 and I don't want to take any time off before then (or even that weekend). Any time after that, I'd love to go to Amsterdam, but a long weekend is so much better than midweek. Is there really that much of a price difference? Could we not just go Thursday to Monday instead of Monday to Thursday? surely the flights would be the same then, no?

yes there really is that much price difference, friday to monday would be 250 euro versus 85 bills for tues to thurs

Why would you go Tue 11 - Thur 13 for â,¬87.90 when you could go Wed 12 - Sat 15 for â,¬74.90? It's an extra night for â,¬13 less (which basically covers your hostel) and Wed/Thur/Fri are much better nights to go out than Tue/Wed.

Or how about Sun 16 - Tue 18 or Wed 19? In Amsterdam for Paddy's Day (is that fun?) for just â,¬97.90 AND I don't have to take 3 days off work.
