So the committee has just after replenishing the first aid kit, and before it's left in the boat house, we'd ask that a few simple house rules are introduced!
1) Please respect the first aid kit!
We have spent a huge amount of time and money in making sure we have everything we need! It's for emergency use on club trips when there's no other resources available, not for covering up blisters from a dodgy pair of shoes or cleaning your hands after a Liffey session.
2) If you use an item from the first aid kit, please let a committee member know!
Even if it's just a plaster and anti-septic wipe, let us know as soon as you can. This makes it far easier to keep track of what needs to be replaced and helps to avoid dangerous situations of not having the equipment we need during an emergency
3) Please don't remove the kit from the boathouse!
If you are going on a trip and are looking for the use of the first aid kit, please discuss it with a committee member first.
This stops the kit going missing, and makes sure it will always be there when we need it.
It shouldn't be hard to look after the first aid kit, but we want to make sure it's there for when it's needed.
